Grandiose... Grandiose in the achievement very well cared for Sofia Coppola, in the scenario that is both simple and efficasse and in the interpretation, Bill Muray is magnificent, recalling his best role in "A day without end", and Scarlett Johansson, beautiful natural. The whole film is based on the beautiful scenery of Tokyo and the attitude of its inhabitants. The story is also exciting. The disturbing lives of two people as screwed up as happy to be like that, who will meet in this huge hotel of Tokyo. For a short time it is like being immersed in a fairy tale, where the friendship would be what it has of more beautiful before you dive into a fatal love. Charlotte (Scarlett Johansson) is married for 2 years, to be a photographer to the stars, who only sees his job. She no longer sleeps and suffers. Bob Harris (Bill Murray) is a great actor, married since 25 years, no longer understands their relationship and comes to Japan to turn a advertising. They will learn to know out of all nights, to share information about their personal life. A real treat since Sofia Coppola, (to whom we owe the beautiful Virgin Suicide) films really the feelings of the two heroes mixed with the decor sumptuous. Level quality, we have the right to luxury. The scene of the encounter is already legendary, the picture of Charlotte, pink hair, head resting on the shoulder of Bob's worship. A book for all lovers of romances without too much fall into the cliches of true love story. RATING IMAGE : film, perfect, plans, stunning Tokyo, especially when Charlotte visits the corner. A little bit of tingling in the backgrounds but little noise video. Quite dark however. RATING SOUND : 2 versions 5. 1 for the VF and VO. The latter also contains a track in DTS 5. 1 (half-bitrate), but only in VO, non-VF, as mentioned on the cover. The music is more strengthened and the external more accurate on the surround. The dialogues in the VF are quite muffled, but the voice acting is excellent. May be too authoritarian for Scarlett Johansson (!!) IN SHORT : A buy, but the pack with "Virgin Suicide" to have 2 films for a satisfactory price. Pathé.... ahlala. Quite a lot of freedom compared to the book on which the film. An interpretation a little too americanized, not quite faithful to the original work. Meryl Streep a little too cold in the role. I saw this film at the cinema the first time and I loved it. The subject remains difficult, but the two actors are perfect! it is not to say that this blu ray is at the top of French version of in stereo images poor warner as always has released this film to make money and pity for the poor whitney gone too top. First a gripping story between the human and the horse and then a love story where the not-said are proving dramatic for the people who love them.. It is nice to see 2 actors, a 67-year-old, the other of 80 years, will give the reply with so much charm and whimsy. They are simply cute. But don't believe that the film is addressed to an audience of elders. On the contrary, despite its tempo a bit slow, it is perfect at any age. His upbeat message is a wonderful engine for this moving and funny story at once. I highly recommend this story of a life of no little importance, which is sure to tenderize and make you laugh.
